I watched the Joe Strummer documentary "The Future is Unwritten" last night and Joe mentioned this album in a clip from his BBC radio show. I wanted to hear this just because of the title. Then I see you posted it. Pretty cool. Thanks alot.
P.S.
Sorry to post this here but I gotta say it. I love your blog but I detest all the nazi/RAC stuff you post and i can't understand how people can support this shit. My opinion aside I appreciate the way you treat people who complain. You embrace the debate and are generally civil to people.Thats pretty cool.

"all the nazi/RAC stuff you post"
I have over 1000 posts.8 to 10 of which are "RAC" posts.
Glad you enjoy "Dr. Alimantado" Craig.Being civil is the only way I know my friend. Thanks for being a fan.

Mr.Nation On Fire. You had the opportunity to split from me months ago but for some reason hung on.
I even asked you if you wanted me to remove your link. You said NO.
Funny how you removed mine but failed to notify me.
Did you expect free traffic your way?One way?
Pretty low...
That being said.
No,this is not the place to talk of these issues. This is a Reggae singer/post.Talk about him.

This one is one of the 2 reggae albums I own. Have seen him live as well many years ago with his 12-years old son on keyboards. Good show.

Funny to have the RAC-debate again... in a reggae post! Nonetheless I see the people who moan about it leave the boycott aside when it comes to downloading.
I'm not interested about the rac-bands posted up till now but I think it's a good idea to take that kind of bands away from their usual fans. Like punks using swastikas in 77 or singing Belsen was a gas. Turning it into something ridicule or inoffensive is a much better way to fight fascism than smashing heads methinks. Thanks Mark! Not only are you civil but your stance is pretty clear imho.
(& excuse me for adding my bit to the debate... Basically cos yesterday I wrote a thanks message to NoF in another post but I dont agree with what he wrote here)
This album is great! One of the best toasters! Up there with Dillinger, U-Roy etc. Johnny Rotten helped Alimantado's sales by quoting a couple of songs in a TV program in 77. Btw a great companion to this one is the LP "Born with a purpose".

OK...Now I never heard this one before.Why...I don't know.
I was exposed to so many bands & toasters.I'm shocked. This is legendary shit.
I love the hell out of it.
It takes me a while to listen to what I post.
It's not so easy as what I hear to your ear.
I take chances mostly,so you can experience goodness.
Much love and peace...Rastafari :)

Nice treat Mark! Didnt know this one. It's a bit difficult to track down the discographies of these Jamaican artists... I've seen in my files that this LP charted in UK reggae charts in summer 1979...
¡Gracias!
Fernando :)
