Ich danke Ihnen herzlich fur diese eine! I Lived in Germany in 84/85 and picked up a lot of Deutche Welle bands(which was a pain to bring back to the US, of course), Spliff had a sound that was really of their own, imho.

One of the most enduring German artists from this period is Herbert Groenemeyer. He's released close to 20 albums, all of which I have purchased over the years when he comes out w/a new one. Commercial-ish MOR/AOR/AAA, at times -- but really a sound that is uniquely his own - at least to my ears. He came to Colorado two years ago for a concert at a small place. All Germans except for me - it was very cool.
