The Jackals - Prowlin' LP
The Jackals from Portland, Oregon, not to be confused with the metal band of a similar name, play straight up Rock-n-Roll. I think I actually saw them play at the "Mayor's Ball," at the Memorial Coliseum back in the day, but I can't remember.
This band really is good, I can't say enough good things about them, I have another album by them that I may throw up on the blog if I get a chance and if there's a demand for it.
There is a cover of "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked in," on this album which has to be the most covered song of all time, but still I like it. Who originally did the song? I Have no idea.
This was released by Nervous Records of Northolt, Middlesex, UK

We can agree to disagree on this one for all eternity but I think the version of 'Somebody Got Their Head Kicked In' that I posted by a band from JayIRC's area called the Crash Street Kids. But I am diggin' this one here before even hearing it:>}
Fleetwood Mac orginally recorded that song in 1968, flip side of Man Of The World.
Somebody Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight was originally done by Fleetwood Mac! Strange but true.
This is the original record:

Earl Vince And THe Valiants AKA Fleetwood Mac
Interesting very interesting. I would not have guessed in a million years Fleetwood Mac, as the originators of that song.
Thanks for the input

I used to see The Jackals play at Max's Tavern in Eugene, OR. Fun times! Nice guys. Some of the guys were playing as "The Flapjacks. Not quite the same edge.
