This has to be the most painful two records I ever heard. It was almost as painful as trying to expalin the song 'Raping a Slave' to my mom. "It's art Mom" just did not cut it.
lol,sometimes art is ugly.
I was never a fan of the band/music but understand they have a huge following.
Swans were a great band. Very bleak/dark, made Joy Division sound like the Bee Gees. Could say they were a precursor to all the doom stuff to come later. Can also hear where The Melvins picked things up from.
An absolute masterpiece by the greatest band of all time.
This is the ultimate.
Live truly a wall of sound. By far the loudest performance i've seen in the 80ies.
