I've got it on DVD Mark. I think its funny as fuck myself. Disturbing to some but not to me. Cracks me up everytime I watch it but then again,I do have a sick sense of humour. I wouldn't want Chopper Read in my prison cell mind you!
I love this film. The part where the guy is stabbing Chop while apologizing really sums up my experiences with Australians. The nicest folks in the world, even when they're trying to gut you.
Wow..needed a handful of good belly laughs tonight, thanks Mark. All to real a movie to me. But those are the best kind right?!! Viacomclosedmedown on youtube
I hated it. I mean, the movie went nowhere, was not funny at all, or violent either. It was recomended by a few different places to me, and I was disapointed. Much the same as with Miike's "Audition". Lots of hype, but no substance.
Eric Bana is a fantastic actor and it was this role that basically brought him to the attention of the A list directors he's been working with since. If you want another unfknblvabl Australian movie I suggest you go hunting for a movie called Ghosts of the Civil Dead - & don't stop till you find it. Don't know if it has made it to DVD so you might need to track it down on video. Will show up all those American 'reality prison dramas' to be the pale, pathetic imitations that they are. Just like the first Mad Max (was called something else in the US I think) is the king of road warrior movies, this is the king of prison movies...Hey Aesop - keep those stereotypes coming....

This one for you ClassicMusic20. I know you want trendy Yacht Rock for your radio but calling soft Christian rock by that genre just to get me to buy something won't work and never putting a penny of your own money for anything while using pressure buy to make me buy the last one on Discogs is lame for lame music my Goodwill steals are Sanctified.as R.L. Burnside used to say live.
