So...I'm ignorant to this store of false punkness.
My friends told me of it,I saw it on some video.
I thought maybe even a fake punk store could supply my sorry ass with a white Ramones shirt.No...Only Black.Everything was Black.
I Don't like Black.It's F*cking Hot!!!!
I want White shirt.No.
This place had about 5 really punk band shirts.
1-Minor Threat was white.Not good enough.I don't love them.
They saved the day with a Hank III shirt...even though I've seen better.
I asked for boot straps (ya know chains straps on the boot).NO
OK...I understand you guys now.
Funny what Punk became.
Cute girls...the guys look however is dorkish.
Not So Hot....

If you wanna I have white Kaaos shirt which I made with black plastic. I melted plastic on the shirt in KAAOS logo... hehe but shirt is full of holes because I'm wild boy (on gigs) hehe
Use internet if you wanna buy shirt :) It looks like we can't live without internet any more...
Cheers
You've never heard of Hot Topic before? Well, congratulations on surviving unscathed thus far - sad you had to have your mind raped at this late stage.
At any rate, black is the usual color for concert tees as you probably already know - I had about 50-60 black show tees back in the day (and stupidly gave them away during a move - can you say ebay goldmine lost?) and was even know as "The Black T Guy" in my dorm.
These guys rule and have the good stuff

Know what you mean! I gave up on getting mad/bothered about those types of stores a long time ago...I just came to the conclusion its whats around. So kids go there and get what irritates parents, or actually the parents were punks (by now). They probably get some lame lecture about how hard it was, back in my time, in my days etc.It just makes me snicker when i see those stores. I mutter, "frikin' victims" in my head and realize the generation gap. Whatever.
You know, you really can't get good bands so much nowadays on white shirts. And I hate those homemade, poor quality, silk-screened in Chatos garage five hundred for 200.00 styled ones. The paint always smells like shit and the underarms always rip.
About the only place you can get an un-generic shirt is at shows when the band does em right. Man I used to have a concert shit from The Olympic Auditorium that had Raw Power, BGK, and a lot of other bands on the front...I still got some of them...I know I'd like to see Jurkos homemade shirt.Hey Mark maybe have a shirts off post with some shirts like they used to be...I could send you some of mine if you'd like I got plenty...?>>Rg
P.S. Remember when you could get jumped for wearing boots (DOCS)
...but where is your problem.
as you wrote you`ll never be a Punk - it`s just another music style for you - so why do you lament
"another Marc" is right - it is confusing to hear a statement like
" Funny what Punk became " and "fake punk" from someone who has no problem to post fasicsm-racist Music under the sign of Punk.
I have tons of black band shirts which I don't use for reasons already mentioned. Must remember not to get more black tees...
Today, I personally I prefer the "Ian MacKaye code of fashion". Though generic, it's easy and never expensive. Ha!
you mean that red MT cd cover where Ian is head in knees that my friend silked onto a WHITE shirt and you know that sometimes "good guys don't wear white" goddammit is that why I have so many black flag my war shirts on black and why I am not a grey t-shirt wearin' guy like my scuba instructor in the Valley was?

Is that picture you put up one from an Hot Topic advertisement? That is stupid! You gotta hand it to the punks and metal heads who came up with this store though; mass-
marketing something that has the air of obscurity (even if it hasn't been for like 15 years now) these days gets the youth to shell out $$$$. REALLY sell-outish and annoying, yet clever.
What are you guys talking about? Hot Topic is awesome! I love to go in their and learn all about really cool bands like Good Charlotte.
Sometimes they sneer at me and make me cry when I am wearin' my old DK's, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Ramones, Dead Boys, Damned, SLF, etc shirts.
But I am hoping to be cool enough to buy that limited edition Smashing Pumpkins shirt they have!
No, the Minor Threat look is a bit too steep for me. I talkin' about more the Fugazi look. The "hand me down" look of black, white and gray look.
Ray from Hard Ons sent me his new t-shirt though - It has the VENOM's "welcome to hell" sleeve with Goofey's head instead of the goat. Of course it's a black t-shirt.
Hot Topic is owned by the same company as The Gap and Old Navy.
And Aesop, thanks for that link!
dude sound ideas had a shit load of cool shirts in white. I think it closed down though
Dr. Strange record store isn't that far of a drive from where I live...they still have/sell plenty of cool white shirts and records. They even have an online store. www.drstange.com
But he still can be pretty pricy on used records.
I've ordered from Crustpunks & Dr.Strange in the past.
Both are good.
I just thought it would be nice to get a shirt without having to send to bumfuck for it.
A Ramones shirt shouldn't have been that hard to find in white.
I saw in the hot topic store somewhere that they had been in business for 30 years.
Hard to believe.
Well....at least I know where to go if i ever turn Goth lol.
Those frankenstein shoes they got there crack me up.Who walks the streets in that garb?
my personal fashion stylist (yeah I got style baby) told me black t-shirts are SOOO last year
i only wear pink and yellow and fuchsia shirts
Also check out punkstuff.com
Real decent prices and the shirts are great quality.
