This was one of the best record purchases I made back in the early 80's! So many great songs and so many great bands.
My fav tracks are Ill Repute, Authorities, SVDB, JFA, Tar Babies, just incredible that this was release by Mystic!

My friend left this in the back of his VW bug and heat warped the hell out of it! I spent two days trying desperately to un-warp it: seting it in the sun then placing it under some bricks,putting it in the oven (at low temp.), and ironing it. Then my brother Frank comes in sees the record, grabs it and says, "...why don't you just bend it a little, like this.." The record snapped and we colletively yelled NOOOOO!!! I have a cd (boot)copy of this; but this is a much finer quality one. Boy are all the guys gonna love this. Thanks my Brother!!!>>Rg<<
Anon - Great story! I've done some ridiculous things to try and get warped records to play before, like trying to hold the needle down on the vinyl by hand over a bad skip, long enough to get it taped to cassette!

Thanks for the link to side B Haizman Brain! (only just spotted your message). I knew of the Mystic CD & had (rightly) assumed that part 2 wasn't included complete. I agree with you - We Got Power 1 is one of the best comps. of the day. I kinda like the way there was no info enclosed either. It kept ya guessing. One of my faves is the Putrid Girls track. Wonder if they ever did anything else? Mystic gets a lot of slating, but they did get the music out there. they turned me onto dozens of cool bands. Everyone slags off Doug Moody (sounds like there must be something in it!) but my experience of him, buying mailorder from the UK in the day was different. He always shipped the records Airmail (always taking a good-size loss on the postage), & always threw in some free records & a personal note. Anyway, if ya do get 'round to ripping side 1 of WGP 2, I'm yer man. Thanks!! And thanks as always for this amazing blog!
Oh, thanks so much for ripping this. I think it' "Bacon And Eggs" that has the lyrics "Short and sweet, the only way to live". I loves that song.
