I sent you an email with a question, I suppose I can C/P it here: I was lucky enough to catch Big Black on thier 86 tour in a VERY small club in Muncie Indiana called The No Bar And Grill. The date of the performance was January 11, 1986. There was an official "Bootleg" of the performance released on Vinyl called "Sound Of Impact". The venue was in the basement of a pretty cool record shop (the name of which escapes me) Maximum occupancy was maybe 50 people, and there was three times that number crammed in that stuffy place. There was no stage as such, so the bands would participate with the crowd quite a bit (I saw Killdozer, Naked Raygun, The Feederz, Modern Vending and several other bands from the period) Admission for the Big Black show was 8 bucks.
I have the Audio recording of the show (Sound Of Impact), but I'm searching for the video.
There was a woman at the show that accompanied the band. She had a video camera and taped the whole show. I remember talking to her and asking her about the video and she said it would be "Available" eventually. To my knowledge the video was never released officially -BUT- I have seen the video listed on two traders' lists. I've never gotten any response from either trader, even after several emails.
Do you have, or know where I could get this video? Any leads or contacts you could give me would be appreciated. Both times I've seen the video listed it is coupled with another show from Kentucky in '87 and Modern Vending is opening for them.
I'm also looking for any of the compilations from the midwest that have Modern Vending on them. I know they did at least three compilations, if not more.
Steve Albini produced several sessions for Modern Vending in 87, but the release of the album was aborted and never saw the light of day. I was able to track down the lead singer in California and he told me that the guitarist now lives in Europe somewhere and that the master tapes from the sessions are in his hands. I don't think there are any existing copies of the tapes, but I'd love to get a chance to hear the stuff someday.
Real obscure stuff, I know- but I'm hoping you may know where I could go to find anything other than the obvious Google search returns.
doesn`t they sound a bit different on their other LP ? If I remember right they sounded like a bit like the Dead Kennedys ? But this is more a kind of free-jazz ??? :-)

This one for you ClassicMusic20. I know you want trendy Yacht Rock for your radio but calling soft Christian rock by that genre just to get me to buy something won't work and never putting a penny of your own money for anything while using pressure buy to make me buy the last one on Discogs is lame for lame music my Goodwill steals are Sanctified.as R.L. Burnside used to say live.
