THE MUNSTERS - AT HOME WITH LP 21

 H  A  P  P  Y     H  A  L  L  O  W  E  E  N ! ! ! !

P.S. if anyone knows who the artist is that did an awesome cover tune of the theme song I added at the end of the tracks here from an old NYC collector who made a tape for me of rare punk singles:  D.O.A., Flesheaters, VKTMS, Halo of Flies, Stains 'Born to Die' & Fear after I found him and did a vinyl trade with after reading his add in the back of my Maximum Rock & Roll zine that I subscribed to--please let us know in the comments and I will get it labeled.

ROZZ WILLIAMS - Sleeping Dogs CD 13 w CULT EPICS 1000 copies CD 13

PLEASE SEARCH ABOVE FOR MORE and ADD ON:  You may wonder about the 'book' on top right of sidebar.  I left of the picture and added the text below it as I was promoting it for the company that made these CD's that I got at the same time.  I had just friended Rikk Agnew and his close friend  'Christina Death' (Michelle Jean Russo) who passed on from Diabetes complications in 2021 as well as a few hundred of their goth friends who I noticed from the numbers at blogger had started following our blog after I posted at Rikk's request all the Christian Death I had posted.  Also, their 'Stick a Finger Down It's Throat' was my first submission to Mark Underground at DU blog here that I found when Mark had requested asked if anyone had it so I did a deep search online.  I put some pictures and text about her in my post and I remember the first video she shared that I saw was I.L.F. (In Letter Form) as the singer had just passed away.  Here is that video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58EqqalcmDA and I put some other video links of bands she had on her old meta page as well as some great pictures of Rozz (R.I.P.)

OUR DAUGHTERS WEDDING - Digital Cowboy EP 81 w st LP 82

REPOST Request:  A choice request that seemed to fit in right here.  From Wiki:  Our Daughter's Wedding was an American synthpop trio, consisting of Layne Rico on Synare synthesizer, Keith Silva on vocals and keyboards, and Scott Simon on bass-synth and saxophone. Though the group was based in New York, Silva and Rico were from California. The group took their name from a type of DIY photo album.

REPOST and ADD ON:  Going to pull a Nathan Nuthin' routine and post something as a result of a good comment:  oceane said...Thanks a lot for the sharing of your digging. I love this tape!

DECEMBER 6, 2022 AT 2:52 PM

Notice the date however--here is what I wrote on that post:  Another one like below out of season as I missed it over Halloween.  However, this has some excellent spooky noises that could really be played all the time and not seem so seasonal with less jarring-grating type sounds but focusing more on the overall ambient.  Also added some rare versions of songs that I found at the end of my Elvis Costello tape right above:  Agent Orange (rare version of Bloodstains), Circle Jerks (rare version of Wild In The Streets) and the Bad Manners 7 inch of "Monster Mash" and so I threw the songs in here as a bonus so enjoy!

So this year, I found an old book I had growing up about MONSTERS that I took pictures of to share over 15 years ago for a meta group albeit front cover lost and some damage from being in my first house basement during a flood back in MN but beyond that cool artwork inside!  So getting into the spirit I add more pictures from my folder at work that I keep stuff from the internet :  Mars Attacks cards that my older two brothers born in 1960 and 1962 had partial sets of that they gave me eventually that I dug as a wee youth and I found the whole set! also Wacky Witch comic book that my mom bought a copy or two for my birthday since she used to teach me language with a 'haunted house' large artwork she made with monsters also on moveable smaller sizes you could put into the rooms which really got me ready when Friday night 'popcorn parties' began after neighborhood games and it got dark when 'Horror Inc.' started to play movies every week with the half hour 'Shadow' episode at the end of the movie if we were still awake and so beginning my interest in the genre.  Also threw in what I had collected from Ebay auctions showing card collections of 'World Wide Weirdies" and Odd Rods that my older brothers were big into as were my friend in grade school to a lesser degree.  Actually I lent my collection from school to my eldest brother who never gave them back to me he loved them so much--him being a professional artist so found some online.  Loads of fun for y'all!

MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER - HALLOWEEN CD 03

Got's to think about this band led by Chip Davis around the holidays and found this at Goodwill.  From Discogs:  Mannheim Steamroller is a New Age band co-founded by Chip Davis and Jackson Berkey. The band was named after an 18th-Century musical technique, now known as crescendo.

Mannheim Steamroller albums feature instruments from harpsichord to synthesizer, with a lot of strings. Chip Davis composes, arranges and plays drums with the band, while Jackson Berkey and his wife Almeda Berkey do most of the keyboard work. Other permanent band members include Ron Cooley (Guitar), Eric Hansen (Bass), Steven Shipps and Arnold Roth (Strings), Roxanne Layton (percussion and woodwinds), and Chuck Pennington (Conductor). Mannheim Steamroller frequently collaborated with The London Symphony Orchestra, and The Cambridge Singers.

MAX'S KANSAS CITY presents THE SENDERS - SEVEN SONG SUPER SINGLE EP 81

This one I have set aside for a long while not knowing what it sounded like but knowing it would be punkish and good and it certainly is just that!  From the bar where the first two Misfit's bootlegs came from in the early days that I bought just as the onslaught of boots began.  Got to hear from the bar rock contingent.  Cheers!

Noel Coward, Edith Sitwell, Saint-Saens, Walton - CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS--FACADE LP 73

This was new to me last weekend and reminds me of the Rozz William's style above which makes sense as Discog's calls it Romantic/Spoken Word style.

REPOST Request:  Great idea for a repost on Halloween!  I like Jock's snarling vocals and clean diction talking esoteric concepts over the stupified masses such as on a favorite song "Legend of the Snake".  Here is a clip about them I didn't know from fellow blogger AJ as he just finished a great series of 8 posts called "Various Artists - New Wave Club Class" with the FBB  on it "The Bollock Brothers were a side project of the John Lydon associated band 4”Be2” formed by Jimmy Lydon. The Bollock Brothers were originally conceived as an outlet for band member Jock McDonald and as 4”Be2” broke up in 1982, T’Brothers became the main band. ‘The Bunker’ is an uncredited cover version of the 1979 single No G.D.M. by Gina X Performance with new lyrics."

AJ is looking for a 3-4 Gb file sharing site and is getting ready to post all 8 compilations as FLAC so go on over sometime and for that matter going to list some other blogs I go to regularly:

Themes for Great Cities (AJ's blog in U.K.--gotta check that on Halloween for goth, post punk, new wave and death rock stuff he's got the main one's covered):  https://tfgc1.blogspot.com/

Nothin' Says Somethin' (he just posted all his files for the band "The Lucy Show" at AJ's request:

https://nathannothinsez.blogspot.com/

and his buddy Jonder and Stinky LePew just posted a fun Halloween compilation that they make themselves  from extensive searches:  https://jonderblog.blogspot.com/

and RYP over at Twilight Zone! blog who I just learned (and thanked him) is my highest feed numbers from his blogroll seems to be filling in my gaps (saving me money like the others...THANKS!):https://twilightzone-rideyourpony.blogspot.com/

and Butterboy Homemade Compilations who posts even as much as RYP!:  https://butterboycompilations.blogspot.com/

and rawkin' dog's blog--a rare one who rip's it his own self:  http://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/

and the most of all for filling in my gap's is Kostas from Greece:  https://urbanaspirines.blogspot.com/

all of them real top notch blogspots so go have some fun and frolic!

The Pets - Wet Behind The Ears LP 78

REPOST Request:  This repost is to honor in his recent passing on Oct. 22, 2023 at age 74 of Gregg William Sutton the bassist and singer/songwriter for this great band.  I will let ClassicMusic20 who left a link in the comments to his solo records tell you more:  We've Lost Gregg Sutton from this band about a week ago, they don't say what he died of, but I've seen him recently and he looked very elderly (Like a Keith Richards type) and was smoking a bit in his recent interview. Out of Pets, he was a studio musician that played on records by Bob Dylan, Sass Jordan (there's a video on YouTube where he's working on her album Racine in '92 and he's drunk and knocks something over) Andy Kaufman (he also appears in the Man on the Moon Film as himself) He was part of KGB On their second record "Motion" Lone Justice on their second record "Shelter" and Tommy Tutone on their third record "National Emotions" He also co-wrote the Sam Brown hit "Stop" I know you gave me this post a couple of weeks ago, but please post it again as a tribute, alongside with Sutton's only solo record, thanks!

Dirty Looks - Cool From The Wire LP 88

REPOST Request:  Looks like I'm missing a few (ha ha...a few) per Discogs:  Dirty Looks is an American rock band, formed in 1984 in the San Francisco bay area. Founded by Danish vocalist/guitarist, Henrik Ostergaard, the band released 3 indie albums before signing to Atlantic, where they saw some chart success. Initially breaking up in 1993, Ostergaard restarted the band in 1994. After 3 more releases, the band again called it a day in 1996.

The band restarted in 2007, releasing 5 more albums, and a compilation album between 2007-2010. Henrik Ostergaard died of liver failure at the age of 47, on January 27, 2011, cementing the band's demise. However, the other members regrouped im September 2021, with bassist Jack Pyers, guitarist Paul Lidel and drummer Gene Barnett joined by rhythm guitarist David Beeson and vocalist Jason McMaster.

IPSO FACTO - COMMUNICATION EP 86

This roots reggae Minneapolis band with members: Greg McFarlane, Juju McFarlane, Julitta McFarlane, Rozlyn McFarlane, Wain McFarlane I used to see all over town and even once at my high school playing a dance.  They seemed to be on rotation with Shangoya at these dances who I have posted before.  Cool that they have an anti-cocaine song like EPMD below.  Use it more than a few times and it will permanently change your brain which is not desirable.  Unfortunately some groove wear as I got at Goodwill.

TONY LEEUWENBURGH (Tony Loveslug) from Nitwitz, BGK and Loveslug MEMORIAL POST

R.I.P. to Tony Leeuwenburgh who passed on October 7th this year--you can read about it from the old Maximum Rock & Roll editor Jeffrey Bale who was very close friends with him and posted about it on his mega page.  I couldn't find the other two vinyl Mark Underground had posted back in 2008 but Willfully Obscure blog had my back with at least on of the three that were posted before.
