This was nearly impossible to scan, due to the poor cover quality, but it is what it is. Dirty Chinese Thieves are from Toronto, ON and have a KBD feel to them. They are not a RAC band or belong to any hate group, so if you have a problem with the name, either get over it, down load some really good punk rock or don't.
Oi!/RAC compilation with bands from North & South America
(Many thanks to Brandon and A dying breed Records for this album)
Bands appearing on the cd are: Youngblood/Fighting84/Armada Oi!/Bleach battalion/Combate49/Major dissapointment/Spirit of the patriot/Ressiduo/Sangre X Sangre

A four way split between what I believe are all Canadian bands. Bunchofuckingoofs are the only band I know anything about. Living Proof, Animal Stags and Madhouse round out the album. A mix of new wave and punk.
Please click on the title on the top 'O the picture for a link to this....uuuuhhhh early rap band ala Beastie Boys beatboxin', I read on another blog it was hardcore but not the case. Here is a blurb about the band from Dangerous Mnds: The video for the title track early EP song is interesting in that it features Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Tommy Guerrero, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Mike DomÃnguez, Ron Wilkerson and Bryan Blyter and is one of the earliest music videos to feature both skaters and BMX professional riders.
Please click title text above for another post from this interesting small town surrounded by farm fields and glacier gouged lakes in prairieland that I now call home, Northfield. Cheers!
Please click above title and be prepared for two releases from Salamagundi Studios here in Northfield, MN where I moved a couple hours from the big Minneapolis last year (I knew they had to have had a studio here as all my past locations have had this feature, the record store doesn't exist anymore) but a nice small town near a river (I hear the falls yearround out my window as I rip vinyl from the past) with the State's oldest college Carleton. In keeping with the November theme from last post this release also reminds me of a favorite platter I used to spin in this time before Winter, Samhain's third platter, "November's Coming Fire"...still a favorite.
Hang Over I believe are out of Germany. Here they cover Merle Haggard and David Allan Coe. I have never heard David Allan Coe's rendition of this song, Over all the Germans do a good job of these two songs. It's kind of Ironic as I just finished reading Merle Haggard's autobiography.
The self proclaimed worst record ever made is at your fingertips. This is a fantastic EP featuring Jeff Clayton and Thomas O'Keefe, of AntiSeen fame, from back in 1984 released on the TPOS label. There are no song titles so it is divided up into sides (you get what you pay for). I'd been looking for this for ages and found in in Toronto at a buddies record store and damn near shit myself. Enjoy.
The Government from Toronto, Ontario, released in 1979. Pretty funny New Wave stuff here. The song "Flat Tire" Sounds like something that would have been on the Dr. Demento show back in the day. Good stuff, and I'm not a big New Wave fan.
Kind of a change of pace here. The Folkel Minority were a folk band from Dallas, Texas from the mid 70's. This 45 is from 1978. Side a is song about the greatness of drilling for oil and side b, is a song that is against the making the Trinity River that runs thru Dallas into a major shipping channel to the Gulf of Mexico. Kind of mixed signals if you ask me. Funny Political stuff, that I doubt many will download this but it gave me a chuckle.
Rock-a-Billy from the UK. Russ Abbot is a English actor/musician. If you ever watched the last couple of seasons of the British sitcom, "Last of the Summer Wine," He played Hobo. If you are wondering yes; I watch "Last of the Summer Wine," along with a lot of other Britcoms. But that's besides the point. Side A: "A Day in the Life of Vince Prince," is a pretty funny song that comes across as a parody of 50's rock and roll. One question what's up with the hair?
Alt Country from Walla Walla, Washington, home of the Washington State Penitentiary. However, none of the people in this band have had a stay there to the best of my knowledge. If you like Ryan Adams, Son Volt or The Saddle Tramps this is the band for you.

This one for you ClassicMusic20. I know you want trendy Yacht Rock for your radio but calling soft Christian rock by that genre just to get me to buy something won't work and never putting a penny of your own money for anything while using pressure buy to make me buy the last one on Discogs is lame for lame music my Goodwill steals are Sanctified.as R.L. Burnside used to say live.
