REPOST Request:  Per Wiki:  The Incredible String Band (sometimes abbreviated as ISB) were a Scottish psychedelic folk band formed by Clive Palmer, Robin Williamson, and Mike Heron in Edinburgh in 1966.[1] Following Palmer's early departure, Williamson and Heron continued as a duo and were eventually augmented by other musicians such as Licorice McKechnie, Rose Simpson, and Malcolm Le Maistre. The band split up in 1974. They reformed in 1999 and continued to perform with changing lineups until 2006.

The band built a considerable following in the British 1960s counterculture, notably with their albums The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion (1967), The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter (1968), and Wee Tam and the Big Huge (1968). They became pioneers in psychedelic folk and, through integrating a wide variety of traditional music forms and instruments, in the development of world music.

Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods, The Fleetwoods and The Beta Band: Three Generations of Top Teen Bands

Here are first from the 70's three albums and youtube video's:  Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods - Special Someone LP 72 w st LP 73 w Farther On LP 76 and I packed it full of videos from youtube and teen magazine articles from ebay sellers.  THANKS to Nightingale for this request!!!  Here's a short video:

The second band is from the 50's/60's is The Fleetwoods - Greatest Hits LP 62 w Before & After LP 64, here is what it says about teen:  "If a "sound" is unique, it can often expect a reasonable success.  However, it takes a great deal more than just uniqueness to sustain this success.  The Fleetwoods have done this---and more.  They have become the nation's top teen-age vocal trio.  They have done this for some perfectly good reasons.  First, their sound is more than just different and identifiably their own.  It is a perfect blend of young voices, just right for so many of the fine ballads that are being written today.  Secondly, it is a versatile sound, ideal for not only these new songs but for familiar standards as well.  Finally, there is The Fleetwoods' secret, if you can call it a secret---namely sincerity.  They simply give to each lyric they sing its truest and sincerest meaning.  Their overwhelming success can be proven also in another way, and that is that many others have tried to imitate them.  However, none has done it successfully, and The Fleetwoods remain America's favorite young singing trio."

And finally, from the 90's/00's is The Beta Band!  I had an old CDr of the first two EP's and one extra song that I couldn't find the title to so left as 'unknown' if anyone knows please say in the comments.  I lump them into teen because they were huge on our RADIO K weekly top 7 and played all the time when their 3 EP's CD came out in 1998 and found a 2025 video so was excited they are still going:  Post is following for them:  The Beta Band - The Three E.P.'s CD 98 w st CD 99 w Double Album 2CD 99 w Hot Shots II CD 01 w Heroes To Zeros CD 04 w The Best Of CD 05 (13 live tracks 11-29-04) and finally extra youtube songs I found and the mp4 Live KEXP Studio 10-13-25 where they do five songs from early days (230 mb and limit at blogger is 100 mb videos).  Their songs have stuck with me all these years so very glad to see them and to see community radio spread in U.K....even have similar location on the dial to our KFAI community radio 90.3.

O.K. and because I forgot the Jesus music post here is that:

VA - HEATHER AND GLEN - Songs & Melodies Of Highland And Lowland Scotland as Collected from native folksingers and folkmusicians by Alan Lomax, Calum McLean, And Hamish Henderson LP 61

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!  This is the main post for me holiday (being named Patrick) and first side has many songs my old man used to play for me--his red-haired Patrick--who he pictured out of all 8 of us kids as the one to represent his Scotch-Irish-English side--me.  He told me on his 75th birth day that he only traced our family back to the plantation in Ireland but said the overlords to the plantations were either Scottish or Norwegian (also saying the Vikings stopped their domineering ways when they met the Irish women...ha ha and yes I have 4 sisters!) leaning whichever was convenient.  But the songs within were some he played on his record player that I recognized right away and sit deep in my big Leo heart.  In fact this album helped me understand about bagpipes and how loud they are meant to be!  My love for loud music/sounds maybe for this reason.  I put up the back cover so I can read later what Alan Lomax has said  and will quote about him now:  ALAN LOMAX, one of the greatest folk music collectors and authorities, is the song of John A. Lomax, first of the great American folksong collectors.

Average White Band - Show Your Hand LP 73 and Put It Where You Want It LP 75 w st LP 74 w Cut The Cake LP 75 w Soul Searching LP 76 w Person To Person 2LP 76 w Ben E. King - Benny And Us LP 77 w Warmer Communications LP 78 w Feel No Fret LP 79 w Volume VIII LP 80 w Shine LP 80 w Cupid's In Fashion LP 82 w The Spirit Of Love EP 88 w PICKIN' UP THE PIECES THE BEST OF CD 92

REPOST Request:  What I wrote before:  Was always a fan of "SHOW YOUR HAND" in top two pictures (first one is rarer version that has the classic tune "The Juggler" that doesn't appear on the USA release).  Remember when TOO SHORT sampled 'School Boy Crush' killer bass riff in his theme song?  If you love the bass you will love this band!!!  Also the live version of 'Cloudy' made the 'Back In The Days Of Soul' regular radio playlist on Prince's old intern station KMOJ that I would listen to in college.
