Their musical style can be defined as a mix of garage rock, gothic rock and sleazy pop. When they released the third album "Nun Permanent" in 1991, their record company went bankrupt, which slowly led to their dissolution in 1995. In late 2013 they finally got the rights of the back catalogue and the use of the band name 'The Leather Nun' back and recorded a new album.
They also started reissuing early recordings on their Leather Nun label.

At Larsson's initiative, the duo was strengthened with guitarist[Invalid Artist] for the recording of an album, but this was never released and the recordings disappeared. In 1972 however, the EP []iGrönt är skönt[/i] was released with three of these songs and the title track, which was an unreleased single. Charlie & Esdor and Summanen also played with Larsson on his second Scorpion single. The duo were also background singers on the band Envoys' hit Almarna åt folket (1971), and in 1972 became members of the band Blueset from Södertälje. However, they left the latter band after a short time without participating in any recordings. Franzén later became a member of the pop group Stardust and thereby moved to a completely different genre.
All available material by Charlie & Esdor was reissued in 2005 on CD by Mellotronen. Franzén remained in Katrineholm, while Jensen returned to Tromsø.

Quorthon is the stage name of Swedish black metal musician Tomas Forsberg, who was behind the band Bathory from 1983 to 2004. He stated that the name Quorthon was from a list of so-called demons he found in a book on Satanic rituals, which he thought was utterly stupid, but liked the name. He also stated that the names Vvornth and Kothaar are from the same list of demons, and that he couldn't quite remember whether the names were spelled exactly like that in the book. The book in question is Musta Magia I (1974, translated in Swedish as Svart Magi del I) by Finnish occultist, neo-Nazi and self-proclaimed Reichsführer Pekka Siitoin.
He is the son of Börje Forsberg also known as Boss from Black Mark Production, and according to the magazine Swedenrock, Quorthon is the older brother of Jennie Tebler.
Quorthon was extremely sneaky about his real name, and it's not entirely clear why. In interviews, he would create false names to amuse himself, and see how easily rumors spread in the media. Some have made the obvious claim that he was just concealing ties to his family in the music business. In the archives of his cemetery Sandsborgskyrkogården, his real name is Ace Thomas Börje Forsberg, and the date of death is June 6, 2004.

In 1980, Cherchez pas became number 18 on the Swedish top list. In 1981 she collaborated with Giorgio Moroder, resulting in hits such as You can and Playing for time. She had five singles on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Her 1994 compilation album, 12 Inches and More, was a huge hit in the US.
Madleen has released a biography of her life. The book is based on her childhood to the jet set life she lived during her time as an artist and model. Madleen describes in great detail about her marriage, alcoholism, sexual abuse and family. The title is named after her debut album; Rough Diamond.
