Representing so many great/ unknowns bands:
There are striking similarities between Led Zeppelin & Cartoone.
Both bands signed contracts with the US label Atlantic, which was actively seeking British musicians in 1968. They reportedly even signed their contracts on the same day. Their debut albums were both rel. in January 1969 featuring J. Page as a guest musician. The album contains exc. example of British pop psychedelia from the late 60's.
An April the band traveled to the USA to open for L. Zeppelin. Shortly after their return, their received news that Atlantic was no longer interested. This is where parallels end. While L. Zeppelin rose to worldwide fame Cartoone failed.

If you're looking for SUNNYBOYS debut album, don't get the lp, get the 2 cds with 25(!!) bonus tracks.
Josef
Now Quicksilver Messenger Service drummer Greg Elmore has also passed away.

Of course i own P. Movers, i think 3 cds & Haunted. I only vaguely remember P. Movers. But i have 3 cds, it must be very good. I own tons of Psych- Garage.
Josef
Josef thanks for your comment, sorry I was a little too relaxed last night after doing huge laundry that I wheel in luggage to the apartment laundry machines. There are actually three Prime Movers that I have found and my favorite one certainly doesn't have 3 CD's. I don't like the other ones. I feel you are missing a lot but that is your choice. Maybe you know some 1 2 5 best versions?
You might be right about the 3 cds.
I'm pretty sure i have 3 by the band, but whether the're lps or cd ? Only where ? I tried to find them and gave up after 10 min. I'll keep locking and let you know in the next few days. By the way, according to the discography there are 3 cds by the band ( see discogs).
I'm stumped as to which a version is the best of 1 2 5. My friend Erwin would have been the expert on that. But he died quite unexpectedly out the beginning of August last year. A heavy blow for me - Josef
Josef my deepest condolences for Erwin's death. Still not the same as they only had one CD, one EP (I had this long ago) and 2 x 7 inch's (I will post the other one I just bought from 1994 as I have it now). Here is correct discogs link: https://www.discogs.com/artist/763972-The-Prime-Movers
Here is youtube interview from old Boston cable show 30 Go which picked 30 songs to play every week by various bands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6gxTW0-V-Q
Here is the Haunted version of 125 I mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBat-FJPJ7I&list=RDYBat-FJPJ7I&start_radio=1
Thanks for all the info. I'll take a look at it. I also need to find my Prime Movers. I want to hear them - Josef
I've been doing some research on P. Movers. I've made a mistake here. I don't have anything by the band. How that i could have happened is a mystery to me.
I only know that the 89 Reunion is terrible.
I think, without having heard it, that the old P. M. are different. Apparently 1 2 5 version is supposed to be a crude one. If you put those all old rec. on your blog, i'll ask a friend to do download him. Thanks
I'm listening to it right now:
The Bad Beats - his vengeful hand US 2015- very good garage rock !
I see our old blogging regular visitor from the 00's naz nomad likes it and I see why--I'm also listening to it. The Prime Movers [Boston] I will post next week with new 7" I haven't heard plus put the video from 30 GO so you can watch it directly on the post. I didn't like as much their 2006 CD with different song recordings and new that I found 2 weeks ago for the first Boston post--don't know about any 89 reunion that might be the other two bands. Yeah, hopefully you have heard of some of the bands in my V Top V neo paisley?? Have him download them since some 7's are rare: The Vipers, The Outnumbered (I totally live this now), Woofing Cookies, The Cheepskates and The Tell-Tale Hearts (did you know Bill Murray the actor is actually Edgar Allen Poe--one of the 200 fallen angels with their waiting empty seats in Pakistan city I forget which but Tyler Hanson has facial matches with many facial marks matching which is trillion to one not a match also Epstein is actually Andrew Jackson and Jack Johnson the musician--4 days after his post they put up decoy person looking like Epstein..they will be found out). They don't want us to believe the bible is true with a firmament and flat earth and the 33.33% or 1/3 who were cast down rudely as the 200 asteroid holes found on earth going straight into the ground--not at an angle. I like the idea of trapping them until the final judgement but leave judging up to the Most High Creator.
