Thank you Mr. Crass, I have re-sampled the file at a slightly lower rate and no error now. Yeah it's the local legend Slim Dunlap's band--he is Curtis A's brother who played in that eighties band and then Paul Westerberg got him to play in the last days of the Replacements after Bob Stinson died (their Punk heart of the band..R.I.P. and just a swell local father around here who is the only guy who took time to let me in the basement of the 7th St. Entry (next to First Ave.) while he tuned his guitar before a show with his solo band who are also good. Great guy! Thanks for catching that my fuzzy friend.

Thanks for fixing! I saw Slim do a solo show about 15 years ago. It was a solid boozy, Stones-style performance. He's an underrated artist.

I also found out last night from a local that Slim was more well known around town for being in the band Riff Raff (sp??) so I will have to check it out. He also went on to mention that disco music at that time had put a lot of musicians out of work.

Could not get the first part to work it says "not on server" when you get to zippy. Really interested in these. I bought Volumes 3 & 4 and never saw the first two.

Now that I look the first two must be from the 1960's. At least now I know what the later records were referring to.

Eric, this happens weekly to the popular posts I do, I think zippyshare gets overwhelmed and the link fails. I will bring in vol 1 and 2 tomorrow for you. Thanks for letting me know! Liar Liar by the Castaways is on the way and it is a good tune!

Thanks. I checked a few things about the third volume and one interesting fact is that the Wad song "Chains" was later covered by Soul Asylum on their "Clam Dip and Other Delights" record.

More info also appears on the Twin Tone Web site which has a note about every band on this record. The notes must have come from the inner sleeve as they are written as if they came from back in the late 1970's.

It seems they will burn copies of records for you if you are missing any of their recordings.

I requested that you post Big Hit Vol. 3 a long time ago and I've been away for a while. But now I'm back and here it is! Thank you! I really appreciate your effort and all the great old Minnesota bands you post!
