Not to quibble, but Dorothy Moore's version was not the original. The song had previously been a hit twice on the country charts by Wilma Burgess and Eddy Arnold in the 60s, and returned to the country charts for a third run by Billie Jo Spears after Moore had a soul/pop hit with it. Great song, without doubt, and if I recall correctly the album was quite good, too. I guess I should give it a listen again.
