Negative Approach - Nothing 6 1/2 inch (flexi)

Has anyone every seen this before? It appears to be Russian (I think). I know nothing else about this. If you do decide to download it please be advised that the sound quality is not that great and it's not even the complete song. If you are a completist then please download away.

I really want to hear if anyone knows anything about this release, because I couldn't find anything on it.

Thanks in Advance,

Brian Guy

Haha, i hate when one gets all exited for finding a "rare gem" by your favourite bands and finding out that it's some bullshit christian HC or others. I have the complete discography of strange Pop-punk band Howitzer and some strange crust band called Fed Up! all thanks to their counterparts in Oi! and Oi!core.

The strange thing is that this is Negative Approach from Detroit, but this release is a complete mystery.

I know what you mean by bands with the same name. Drives me crazy, but it keeps life interesting.

Cheers,

Wow, where'd you find this? I collect all sorts of Russian stuff related to punk/hc.

I found this in a great record store called Green Noise in Portland, Oregon. That's all I know.

I'm hoping someone might know where it came from.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

This is from the infamous Russian "Budkon" flexi bootleg series. The writing is indeed Russian and says something like "Association of Record Fanclubs".

There must be hundreds (thousands?) of titles, mostly by well-known artists like Joy Divsion, Police, NY Dolls, Heartbreakers, Ramones, REM, but there's also Negative Approach (this one) and Septic Death.

They are all in mono, with super crappy sound quality and cheapo "sleeve art" thrown together from unrelated photos, clip art etc.
Many titles were issued on various vinyl colors, so perhaps there are variants of this flexi besides red.

They were being released starting in the late 80s/early 90s, continuing all through the 90s and into the 00s; the 77xx number on the Neg Approach flexi suggests a relatively recent release date, early/mid 00s.

There are also other flexi/postcard bootleg series from Russia and Poland, but I believe Budkon was the only one that released punk music.

My advice is to save your money, these are crappy rip-off bootlegs, nothing more.
