Crooneres Decadentes - Ærø EP '10

Indie Rock From Brazil

From The Band:
"Capture fragments of reality in a unique way, in an attempt to describe them, is a characteristic of the universe lyric from Crooneres Decadentes. Formed in April 2009 in the city of Petrolina, located in the state of Pernambuco, the project that runs entirely Raoni Santos (instrumentation and production) basically looks for references to indie rock, bossa nova, the shoegaze and noise rock to pass in its melancholy tone. The songs come from loose ideas whose logical sequence is not always the default, where the frequency of words prevails over its meaning, which is reinterpreted by the listener. The most pleasant is to emerge the largest possible number of different interpretations, thus revealing more singularities, because who listens and gives his opinion is also a co-author.

The name of the project comes from the discovery of one of the goals that João Gilberto had to win the world after moving from Juazeiro-BA, which was to be a crooner, like Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. The spelling of the name, which denotes a group, was ‘Brazilianized’ order to obtain a better sound when spoken.

In September 2009, Crooneres Decadentes was released its first EP, called ‘Variante’, with the resources available to it, two ‘antiingredients’: a sound card on-board microphone and a common computer. The successor to their debut, Ærø, released in April 2010, follows the same lo-fi aesthetic of its predecessor, where the public has the opportunity to learn more ideas designed for the project."
