My Iguana promblem grows.I'm a horrible man...I have to shoot the bastards. What can you do?
There are so many and they are damaging the eco system.

I hate the f*ckers that buy the Lizards and then get tired of them, dump them and then I have a problem.

The PETA thing to do is capture them (how) and them freeze them alive in your freezer.Sorry I ain't doing that.My freezer's for things I wanna eat.

All Iguanas pictured here are dead now.Due to assholes. Why?

P.S. I'm A Dead Eye

You are right, they really do tear up the eco-system of Florida, forcing out the native lizards and birds. People should take better care of their pets.

Jesus Christ! How big are those things? Do you just pop them in the head with a .22?

lol,they aren't small.
The ones pictured are about 6 foot from nose to tail.

You wouldn't dare try to catch one with your bare hands. They have talons/claws about 2 inches long and the animals carry selmanila.

I have a high power pellet gun.It shoots the same velocity as a .22 without all the noise. My neighbors are rednecks but not so much that they shoot guns in public lol :)

Another bad thing about these Iguanas is that they breed like rabbits and grow extremly fast.

5 years ago there were NONE.I had NEVER seen one.Now they are everywhere. And not just around the area of my home. They are all over South Florida.

The only way I see to get rid of all of them all at once is if we would get an extreme cold front.
If it got cold enough and stayed like that for a period of time they may die from the cold.
If it's not cold enough they just go into hibernation.

i dont understand. where do you live?
and how many are that poor iguana's that you have to kill em because the "destroy" the ecosystem?
If we must think like that then we must autodestroy the human race for all the problems that created on earth

I live in South Florida.

LOL,your funny.
I guess you let cockroaches live?
These are pests.

These are the offspring of someones pet.A pet that they let loose in an environment that is not their own.
They don't belong here.
By being here they indirectly harm other species of native lizards.

Our native lizards are about the size of your longest finger.

So you see,a giant 6 foot lizard encroaching on these little lizards habitat can be very harmful.Another thing they do is dig...and they dig huge holes along my lakeside. This makes the shoreline unstable and results in premature erosion of my property.

You asked how many...
Very many, too many to calculate. It's rare to look outside the window and NOT see one.

Beleive me.If I had a choice I'd prefer to shoot the owner of the original Igauanas that were released.

dude are these things vicious? do thet attack ?

Nish said...

No they don't attack unless you try and grab one.

If you get too close they bob their head and extend this (shit I don't know what to call it) flap of skin under their chin.
You can see the one doing it in the picture.
It's a sort of warning.

If you keep getting closer they just run like a devil usually jumping in the lake.
They swim better than a fish too.

Oh yea, they can also cause some damage with their tail. They use it like a whip and it has razor sharp spines.

Definatly an animal fit for survival.
